Coach's Greeting

Welcome to the 2011 football season!

This year has started out under some unusual circumstances with the loss of head coach Mike Martinez due to school budget layoffs, not to mention a football season with no home field and no home games here at Henry. Thankfully, Mike was able to be rehired by the school and is helping our defense improve.

The PHHS Patriot Family is strong, though. We pride ourselves in facing adversity and perservering no matter what obstacles are placed in our way. We are determined to meet the challenges and strive to bring back the fine tradition of excellence that is a mark of Patrick Henry Football.

Personally, I am incredibly proud of the remarkable resilience, loyalty and dedication demonstrated by this year's players. From the first day of training camp in August we have seen these young men work hard, learn with eagerness, and come together in the true meaning of "team". Our coaches are working hard to bring out the best in each player and help us have a winning season. All in all, the coaching staff and players are looking forward to an exciting, though a bit challenging, season.

On behalf of the entire PHHS Patriot football program, I would like to thank all of our fans for their loyalty and the fine community support that we receive each and every year. We are glad that you are with us and hope you enjoy all the games this season as the Patriots play their 2011 season - on the road. Come see us play.
