Capturing Contact Information

.Friday night, the 7th, we began reaching out to the parents of players to correct an unfortunate error. As a result of changes to the registration paper processing procedures, the Boosters Club was not allowed to have access to parent contact information. As you can imagine, this has caused many problems. We have been unable to tell parents about changes to the schedule and how they can pitch in to help.

So, Friday night we took action to rectify this situation. We asked any parents we could find to fill in our clipboard sheets. We then data entered the info (thank you Kathy Clark) and created a newsletter campaign list through a free online service. On October 10th we sent out our first email blast about the changes to the schedule for the Cathedral game.

URGENT NOTICE!

New rules for On-Field permissions!

Effective immediately, and at the insistence of the PHHS administration, athletic department, and head football coach, no unauthorized people may pass through security gates into the field area without first applying for and receiving an authorized ID badge through the Boosters Club. This pertains to Freshman, JV, and Varsity games. Please contact the Boosters Club for the necessary forms and ID.

(This does NOT apply to chain crew volunteers.)

Changes in Sports Registration

PHHS has added an admin position to oversee sports eligibility.

Register for
NCAA Eligibility

Any Patriot athlete who hopes to play sports in college needs to pre-register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. College coaches are forbidden from contacting and recruiting high school athletes that are not listed with the NCAA. Registering takes some time and a few bucks, but without it there is no hope of being recruited.
